Anytown Central School District Board of Education meetings are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend. The Board of Education typically holds meetings twice per month at 7 p.m. in the Dorothy C. Wilson Education Center, unless otherwise noted.

The school district clerk is appointed each year by the Board of Education at the reorganization meeting of the board or later. The term of office is for one school year, although the clerk continues in his or her office until a successor is appointed and qualified. If a vacancy occurs, the board may appoint a successor. The clerk of a union free or central school district can only be removed by the Commissioner of Education. The clerk in a city school district serves at the pleasure of the board.
