Academic programming for the 2017-18 school year

South Glens Falls High School’s  Academic Program Guide 2017-18 is now available to view online by clicking here. Students will receive a print copy in their English classes between Wednesday, Jan. 4 and Friday, Jan. 6. This booklet provides an explanation of graduation requirements, honors and college-level credit opportunities, school policies, as well as a list a list of course descriptions.

In order to meet the educational needs of each student, parents are encouraged to take a few moments to review the Academic Program Guide 2017-18 and assist their children with selecting courses for the 2017-18 school year. Students will have the opportunity to share this preliminary information with their school counselors during the  course selection process.

School counselors will meet with their students, in a small group format, to select a program of study on the following dates:

  • Current juniors:  Monday, Jan. 9 and Tuesday, Jan. 10
  • Current sophomores:  Thursday, Jan. 12 and Friday, Jan. 13
  • Current freshmen: Tuesday, Jan. 17 through Thursday, Jan. 19
