What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Analytics and Stats
Our site uses a tracking code provided by Google Analytics to track the activity of website visitors. This data includes the visitors IP address, what pages they visited, what search terms they entered into the site, how long they were on the site and how they found the site. In addition,the browser name and version, and the operating system in use on the visitors computer or device is also collected.
Comments
Most pages on our site do not allow commenting, however when visitors are able to leave comments on our site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Contact forms
Our website may offer visitors online forms that they can use to register for events, sign up for services, or to contact the district with questions, feedback, etc. These forms collect names, email addresses, street addresses, phone numbers, and other personal information provided in the form.
Data from online forms is sent to district or BOCES personnel via e-mail and/or stored in our database.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored in the visitors web browser. Cookies are installed when a visitor first visits our site. The cookie stores information like the browser name and version, and the operating system in use on the visitors computer or device.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an author account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Only authorized district personnel have access to our website and the data it contains. We do not share your data with any third-party vendor.

These services may include lunch payment services like My School Bucks, district notification systems like SNN, and others. If you choose to sign up for programs or services linked to on our site you should read the privacy policy provided by that company.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
